GAMEWEEK 5 PREVIEW : TOP 3 DIFFERENTIALS ; PREMIER LEAGUE FANTASY FOOTBALL 2018/19

LCFC83 2018-09-14 TOP 3 Differentials

With Gameweek 5 just a few days away, we look at players who provide good options as differentials. We look at "Form", "Average Points Per Match","Goals Scored","Assists","Clean Sheets","Influence","Creativity","Threat","Passing Accuracy","Tackles Won" and "Bonus Points". Our Gameweek 5 choices are as follows:

Ricardo Pereira (£5.1m 5.2%)

The Portugal international has seen a good increase in ownership having started the season with pretty much none. His 2 assists came in the opening 2 games before he was moved to right back against Liverpool but don't let that put you off. He is a lot more comfortable going forward and crossing than he is defending so brings a good attacking threat regardless of position. Leicester also only face 1 top 6 side in the next 11 weeks so clean sheet potential is also there and Pereira is likely to bring solid returns for his owners.

Jamie Vardy ( £8.9m 3.2%)

The Leicester legend has seen his ownership dip thanks to a 3 game ban but is set to return for the trip to Bournemouth. His past FPL record and proven scoring ability means he continues to be a good option. In the last 3 seasons has seen him score 57 goals and contribute 18 assists. His ability to score against all opponents also means he is a safe option to put on the pitch in FPL. Critics will point to the sale of Riyad Mahrez as a problem but James Maddison has looked good so far as a replacement. Upcoming fixtures again look promising and Vardy will be expected to be amongst the goals in the coming weeks.

James Maddison (£6.6m 3.2%)

The attacking midfielder has made a very promising start to life in the Premier League and looks a future England star. His returns for Norwich last season were 14 goals and 8 assists which were similar to that of Diogo Jota of Wolves. However, Maddison played for a team that scored 33 goals less and gained 39 fewer points. A goal and an assist already this season is encouraging and he likes to have a shot on goal whenever he can. Maddison already looks a nailed choice for Leicester and his central attacking role could see him get good returns in the weeks and months ahead.
