Last Gameweek Picks Were : WIlson ( 2 Pts) , Fabianski ( 2 Pts) , Vardy ( 15 Pts )
Rihad Mahrez, 8.5mil, 4.0%
Hey guys and girls and welcome to this weeks edition of our Differentials article. This week we start with Rihad Mahrez. Mahrez is (perhaps for the first time in a city shirt) beginning to look like a real fantasy option again, with KDB unlikely to the fit for the Wolves game, B Silva in trouble and possibly facing a ban, Sané obviously still injured the door seems to be open for Mahrez to cement a regular place in the starting lineup for Man City. He's been in great form so far this season too. In the last five games he has more shots on target (9) than any other City player (he's only started 3/5) he also has a very high number of attempted assists (16) beaten only by KDB for city (17). Add that to the 2 goals and 5 assists Mahrez has managed this season as a whole and the 3 double digit hauls (14,15 and 10 - 3 out of his 4 league starts) he has managed makes him a great option in our opinion. He is only one point worse off than Sterling and Mahrez is priced at 8.5 and Sterling 12.1, think of what you can do with all that extra wonga? Man City play Wolves, Palace, Villa and Southampton in the next four games, only Palace in a away game with the rest being at home. If we haven't convinced you so far then we never will
Marcus Alonso, 6.2mil, 2.6%
Ok so you've all looked at his lofty 6.2mil price tag and pulled a face but he was worth 7mil a couple of seasons ago and has a great attacking potential too. With Emerson injured with a recurrence of his hamstring injury and Lampard seemingly reluctant to rush the Italian back again Alonso could be in the team for a few weeks at least. Last week vs Brighton, Chelsea completely dominated the Seagulls and Alonso played very attacking as usual and on another day could have came away with a goal, an assist, 3 bonus points and a clean sheet. Expect Chelsea to dominate in their next few games as their next 5 games are as follows. Southampton away, Newcastle home, Burnley away, Watford away and Palace home. I see a lot of clean sheets and attacking potential in most of these games. Although Alonso gets a bad rep etc he still has 30 (goals or assists) in the previous 3 seasons, a perfect player for FPL and maybe he can retain his place once Emerson returns from Holby City.
Andriy Yarmolenko, 6.0mil, 3.4%
Lastly we have a player who has scored 36 goals for his country including goals vs World superpowers like Uruguay, Germany, France and Wales, who also has scored double figure amounts of goals in 7 consecutive seasons earlier in his career. Ok that was in the Ukrainian league but he's scored 5 in 10 starts for West Ham so already he's proving he can score goals in England, he didn't do very well for Dortmund in Germany but everyone is entitled to one bad season right? Now he's finally over the Achilles injury which sidelined him for 9 months last season. West Ham are playing some free flowing attacking football at present with Yarmolenko, Anderson, Haller and Lanzini and with Yarmolenko costing a mere 6.0million he perhaps looks the most desirable, he has the most shots on target in the last 4 games (West Ham players) with 6 (alongside Haller) has 3 goals in 4 games and 8 attempted assist too. The Hammers have a kind fixture run too, home to Palace, Sheffield United and Newcastle in the next 4, with Everton and their ropey defence away.
