Bandwagons or proven players, the start of the Premier League always brings this dilemma to the FPL managers.
Here are our players to watch for GW34 :
Lucas Dinge (£5.3) - 8.3% ownership vs Fulham (A)
Let's kick off with Everton's left back, Lucas Digne. The Toffees have been in formidable form, cleansheet-wise, keeping 5 cleansheets (against the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea) in the last six games. Which saw Digne getting a total of 36 points in the above mentioned period (5 CS & 1 assist + 3 bonus points). The Frenchman hasn't been that good when it comes to attacking returns, but he is still creating lots of chances, as he also on set-piece duty. For a defender, that's definitely what FPL managers are looking for. Attacking returns might be scarce for now, but this might be the gameweek where he shines.
Raheem Sterling (£11.4) - 18.5% ownership vs Crystal Palace (A)
Speaking of shining, let's jump to a Man City attacker Sterling. Just to be crystal clear, he was the biggest disappointment for FPL managers in DGW32 as he blanked against Fulham and then didn't even play a single minute against Cardiff, therefore gifting us a whopping 3 points!! Moving along, we all know what Sterling is capable of. He has over 200 FPL points already. With City seeking revenge after Palace beat them at 3 - 2 at The Ethiad last year, Raheem might rack up mega points. He usually scores big when he has blanked in two consecutive games, anyway are not that great at home. Another 21 points incoming maybe...
Heung-Min Son (£8.6) - 15.4% ownership vs Huddersfield (H)
Well, a man who won't be getting us any FPL points anytime soon is Harry Kane. After suffering an ankle injury against Man City in the Champions League. Really unfortunate. But fear not, because the Son is shining bright at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Korean has now scored in back-to-back games at the new Stadium, first against Palace in the PL and then against Man City in the Champions League. Son had blanked in 5 consecutive games before scoring that deflected goal against Palace. Two goals in two games at his new home? FPL managers are now jumping on Son as he is now the most transfered in player heading into GW34, with the hope of The Korean continuing his goal scoring party at home against the already relegated Huddersfield.
Jamie Vardy (£9.2) - 13.2% ownership vs Newcastle (H)
A man who already had a party against Huddersfield in the previous GW is none other than Leicester City's talisman Vardy. He racked up 16pts in GW33, 2 goals & an assist. Vardy is in red hot form, it's now 7 goals + 2 assists in the last 6 games. No FPL player can match that right now. Leicester will be looking to win their 5th consecutive game when they face Newcastle who are winless in their last 8 away games. We foresee another party happening at King Power Stadium, with Vardy being the centre of attention again. No Vardy no party.
