With Gameweek 31 just a few days away, we look at players who provide good options as differentials. We look at "Form", "Average Points Per Match","Goals Scored","Assists","Clean Sheets","Influence","Creativity","Threat","Passing Accuracy","Tackles Won" and "Bonus Points".
Our Gameweek 31 choices are as follows:
Nathan Aké, 5.1mil, 6.2%
So first this week we have Dutch international and former Chelsea youth player Nathan Aké. Now it's a bit harder to pick players this week as only half the teams play, but in Aké we feel he will be a gem, basically till the end of the season. Aké has been an ever present for Bournemouth in the past couple of seasons and with the injuries of Simon Francis and Steve Cook he's as good as nailed on as you're going to get at this stage of the season. He is forming a good defensive partnership with Bournemouth's new 12million signing Chris Mepham as they finally look to start getting some much needed clean sheets. Bournemouth's fixtures are good, very good, in fact they have statically the best set of fixtures remaining out of all the teams plus they don't blank (although they won't have a double gameweek either). Games coming up for Bournemouth are Newcastle, Leicester, Burnley and Brighton followed by Fulham and Southampton, perfect fixtures for the Cherries. Oh and he's handy going forward too, 3 goals already this season so is the best option for them to go with the other Bournemouth assets like Fraser, Brooks, Wilson or King whom you already may have. Have we convinced you yet? Go on bring him in, he could be Aké player for you, and have that Dutch of class you need.
Marco Arnautovic, 6.8mil, 7.4%
Next up we have the Austrian talisman and former champions league winner Marco Arnautovic. Ok he has been injured recently and not in the team but after the dreadful performance vs relegation threatened Cardiff City we are convinced a few changes will be made for West Ham in the coming games, Marco Arnautovic is favourite to start the next game vs Huddersfield and boy what prospects he would have if he indeed did start? At home vs the worst team in the league, we can dream can't we? Arnautovic is a good goalscorer too, in two of the previous three seasons he has broken the 10 goal barrier (a lot of games from the wing) and should score above 10 this season too as he's playing up front now. West Ham are another team who don't blank this season but their next fixtures are a mixed bag.. home to Huddersfield and Everton followed by trips to Chelsea and Man United. Approach with care but he's our Wildcard pick for this watered down GW.
Youri Tielemans, 6.0mil, 0.9%
Lastly we have the young and gifted Belgian international Youri Tielemans. Eyebrows were raised when Leicester managed to sign the former Anderlecht on loan ahead of more illustrious suitors like Spurs and AC Milan and the fact that Monaco were prepared to let him go in the first place. 6mil for a guy that knows where the goal is, is pretty cheap going but will he hack it in the premier league? Well atm we can see he scored one goal and assisted two in the last three games with returns in all three!!. Youri Tielemans also scored 5 goals this season for a poorly performing Monaco team and got 13 goals in his last season of Belgian football with Anderlecht. So let's give you some more pros of owning him.. Leicester do not blank in 31 or 33 unlike most other teams, Brendan Rodgers has joined the club as manager and is known for his attacking style of football, more-so than the defensively minded outgoing boss Claude Puel, plus Leicester next four games are Burnley, Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Newcastle.. great games for Tielemans. Will you be getting the cultured midfielder in?
