This weekly segment offers you a player from each of the four different positions in FPL, who holds the maximum prospect of performing well in the given week based on an analysis of fixture, form, tendency, and underlying stats
Goalkeeper - Lloris: [VS WBA at Home]
TSB: 9.5% Differential yeah!
KEY STAT: Starts every game when fit and is the cheapest route to Spurs defense.
PREDICTION: Clean sheet
West Brom have only been able to score twice in their last 4 league games. It is only going to get tougher for the managerless team as they take on Spurs at home this weekend. With Maurico rotating his fullbacks frequently, Lloris is a great pick from Spurs as the centrebacks are expensive and have barely had attacking threat this season. Spurs have a good run of games in the busy December period.
Defender - Valencia [VS Brighton at home]
KEY STAT: Only defender from the team to play every minute in the league.
PREDICTION: Clean sheet + Assist + Bonus
United have only conceded a goal at home this season and they host Brigton at home this season. Valencia is the only defender in the team who have not been plagued by injuries and is secured to start almost every game. United have now good run of games, and we can accept Jose to drive Ferrari instead of a bus. This is when ever-running-Valencia comes handy as he posses an amazing attacking threat.
Mid Fielder - Sane [VS HUD at away]
KEY STAT: Player with the highest FPL returns from Man City and the second highest among midfielders.
PREDICTION: Involvement in 2 goals
Sane has been fully rested in the midweek and must feature in this weekend against Huddersfield as Aguero-Jesus duo is not going to feature when Mendy is sidelined. Sane has always been involved in a goal when played full 90 minutes. With already 6 goals and as many assists in the league, you must be rubbing your hand if you own him on the team.
Forward - Kane: [VS WBA at home]
Key Stat: Have not scored in the league when played full 90 mins LOL.
Kane finally scored in the Champions League after failing to find the back of the net in the last three games and we can expect that to continue when they take on managerless side WBA. Now, not only WBA lost a defensive genius, Tony Pulis, they are without Dawson, in the absence of whom WBA have been fragile. It should not be a surprise if Spurs runs riot against them this weekend, and if they do Kane is sure to benefit the most with FPL returns.
