We compare two players from the same position. Based on player and team statistics, form and future opposition. We hope this will help you when choosing your team for next Game Week. Cheers!

C. Azpilicueta vs. A. Valencia

comp_DEF.png

#Azpilicueta (6.7 mill.) used to play in the right back position. And he still can when needed. But last season and this one, he has played a crucial role as part of the three in Chelsea`s backline. The spaniard seems to enjoy life under Conte. Linking up beautifully with Morata on a few occasions. In the last two gameweeks he scored once, and had one clean sheet. With 55 points to his name he is so far one of the best options in your defense.
7 BP from 4 matches

#Valencia (6.7 mill) is now well known as one of the best right backs in the league, if not the world. The ecuadorian is impressive in his role, he is very strong and fast, and can move up and down the pitch for 90 minutes. With United being the most impressive defencive unit, there is a need for one of their defenders in your team. With 59 points, Valencia is the best FPL defender so far. He has collected 8 Clean Sheets!
6 BP from two matches

These two face each other in the next GW. So let's look at some team facts.
Manchester United vs. Chelsea:
71 W 49 D 52L
Since 2010 (Premiership only):
4W 5D 6L
Man. United have had 3 Clean Sheets, Chelsea have managed 6 C.S in this time period. The goal difference is 18-21.
The last 5 matches at Stamford Bridge has ended:
4-0, 1-1, 1-0, 3-1, 2-3 = 11-5
Manchester United next 5 opponents:
CHE (a), NEW (h), BRI (h), WAT (a), ARS (a) = 2,8
Chelsea`s next 5 opponents:
MAU (h), WBA (a), LIV (a), SWA (h), NEW (h) = 2,8

My choice:
#Antonio Valencia. I think Manchester United have a better chance at keeping another Clean Sheet.

R. Mahrez vs. M. Salah

comp_MID.png

#Mahrez (8.4 mil) is once again proving himself to be on of the league's best entertainers. The algerian stats of involvement (threat, creativity, influence) in Leicester's play have improved greatly. With 6 assists, 3 from the last two GW, he looks like he is getting in his stride. Exciting to see how he will get on under a new manager (Puel). He has picked up 49 points so far. Leicester will have an ok fixture list ahead, next is Stoke away. But if they want something from them, Mahrez needs to deliver. 5 BP from 3 matches

#Salah (9.2 mill) has showed great consistency so far. Scoring or assisting in 6 of 10 games. The egyptian works more in a forward role then midfield. He doesn't have too many defensive duties. Which makes his threat level that more dangerous (538!, that is better than Lukaku and Aguero). Liverpool has a nice fixture list ahead, next is West Ham away. Salah has scored 3 times and has 1 assist, playing away from Anfield. with 59 points he is the 3rd in the ranking system for midfielders. 4 BP from two matches.

Leicester face Stoke in the next GW, let's look at some stats:
Leicester vs. Stoke
33W 33D 33L
Since 2014 (Only Premiership)
3W 2D 1L
Leicester have had 3 Clean Sheets, and Stoke has 1. The Goal difference is 10-5
Last 3 games at Brittania:
0-1, 2-2, 2-2 = 4-5
Leicester next 5 opponents:
STO (a), MAC (h), WHU (a), TOT (h), BUR (h) = 2,8

Liverpool face West Ham away in the next GW:
Liverpool vs. West Ham
71W 36D 28L
Since 2010 (Only Premiership)
7W 2D 4L
Liverpool have managed 5 Clean Sheets. The goal difference is 25-17
Last 5 games at Upton Park /London Stadium
0-4. 2-0, 3-1, 1-2, 2-3 = 8-10
Liverpools next 5 opponents:
WHU (a), SOU (h), CHE (h), STO (a), BRI (a) = 2,4

My choice:
#Mo Salah. I believe that Liverpool will have a better chance at scoring. And they have a better fixture list ahead

J. Vardy vs. R. Firmino

comp_ATK.png

#Vardy (8.6 mill) looks like the threat he was in the foxes gold season. With 6 goals out of 10 matches the young englishman should be ready for a bigger club than Leicester (in my humble opinion). As with Mahrez, it's exciting to see how Puel will use him. He has picked up 50 points, the 5th best striker in FPL. Stoke is up next for Leicester. Vardy have a good statistic against the Potters in recent years. He has scored 3 goals in the last 5 games against Hughes`s men. 9 BP from 4 matches

#Firmino (8.5 mill) had a great start this season. But sadly for him his scoring has been absent since GW 3. He came back on the score sheet last round. Will he keep scoring FPL points? His results goes hand in hand with Liverpool's success. He often gets swallowed up in the middle of the pitch by tough and big defenders. He really shines when Liverpool gets the ball moving fast down the lines. With 45 points he is of to a good start. But he needs to put the ball in the back of the net again. 8 BP from 3 matches.

My choice:

#Jamie Vardy. He is more consistent than Firmino.
