With Gameweek 9 just a few days away, we look at players who can stretch your budget and hopefully bring in some points too. We look at "Form", "Average Points Per Match","Goals Scored","Assists","Clean Sheets","Influence","Creativity","Threat","Passing Accuracy","Tackles Won" and "Bonus Points". Our Gameweek 9 choices are as follows:
DEF : Harry Maguire (LEI) - £5.1m
Having played every minute thus far, Harry Maguire is worth a mention as he has already manage to keep 2 clean sheets, provide 2 assists and ALSO score a goal. Raking up an impressive 4 bonus points, he is a vital part to the Leicester City defence as they have 3 favourable fixtures lined up. With a 77% passing accuracy and 77% of tackles won, they face a Swansea side who have lost 3 out of their 4 games at home. Having not got a booking from the referee, getting an average of 4.4 points per match, he is a definite inclusion if you are looking at bringing in a defender with strong attributes.
MID : Christian Atsu (NEW) - £5.1m
One of the most threatening players in the box for Newcastle, has shown his ability, scoring a goal, providing 2 assists, and getting 2 bonus points. With a 76% passing accuracy and 86% of his tackles won, he is very influential and can be a major asset to his team as he has 3 favourable fixtures lined up. Newcastle are unbeaten in 3 out of their 4 home games scoring 6 goals. They take on a Crystal Palace side who beat Chelsea at home and in the process scoring their first goal for the season, however, Crystal Palace are yet to prove themselves away from home having not scored or won and conceding 11 goals in the process. A player like Atsu could capitalise on this!
FWD : Mame Biram Diouf (STK) - £5.4m
A striker in RED HOT FORM. Having scored a goal in each of the last 2 gameweeks, Diouf is gaining in confidence and riding the wave of momentum. Also providing 2 assists and raking up 3 bonus points he is very influential and an important player for Stoke. He has a favourable set of fixtures as he can pick up some points in his next 5 fixtures. The Potters are unbeaten in 3 out of their 4 games at home, scoring 5 goals. More importantly, they face a Bournemouth side in Gameweek 9 who have lost all 4 of their matches away, conceding 7 goals in the process. No reason as to why Diouf's scoring form cannot continue!
Wishing everyone the best in Gameweek 9! #Anthony7
